Mental Health

Sometimes our lives get out of balance. The reasons for this may be situational, or they may be due to genetic factors, maladaptive coping skills, or other influences. Whatever the reason, we will help you move to the center of health and wellness.

At Private Reserve Counseling, we teach essential self-skills and relational skills. It does not take years of strenuous work to learn these skills. Much of the process is simply learning to treat ourselves well at the same time we treat others well. If we didn’t learn this principle in our early lives and relationships, it may still be missing in our current relationships.

It is an exciting process to learn to use feelings as allies and to change any thought patterns that limit us. Emotions give us clues that something may not be working. It makes sense to pay attention to them rather than shut them off. When we are faced with a troubling feeling, we can learn to neutralize the untruths that are associated with that feeling.
